The handler to Kati Meyer stated that Katy and her team were trying to be a little bit more careful this year and were therefore going a bit slower than their top speed. But now on the last stage they got out their top lead dogs that helped to accelerate her team directly. -I took the time on the lake outside of Suossjavre and Katy crossed it two minutes faster than the other two, says Katys boyfriend Jörg.
The leading teams have now passed through Jotka and Hilde Askildt is still in the lead, but Katy has been catching up. She is now about a kilometer behind the leading musher from Geilo and it looks more than ever like a "photo finish". Be sure to be on time at Strand camping, they are fast ad the race is tight. At Jotka however it was still Askildt seeming to hav a firm hold on the race. She passed through Jotka at 13:49, folowed by Dervo at 14:02. Meier followed at 14:19. So now the question remains whether or not Meiers "fast leaders" will be able to convince the rest of the team to go for more than just a great 3rd place.
