Roger Dahl has managed to keep his lead in the 1000km race throughout the night. In the morning hours in Kirkenes we witnessed a fresh and relaxed Roger and his dogs with good speed coming into the checkpoint at the Grenselandmuseum even though they had a fully grown dog sitting in the sled. At the checkpoint they were met by the mayor of Sør Varanger. Watch his arrival as one of our videos.
As the "halftime winner" of Finnmarksløpet Roger is winning half a tonn ofdog food from Vom og hundemat. He received only a piece of paper now, but will get the food delivered to his home in Alta.
He furthermore received a sweater from the Grenselandetmuseum and the Sør-Varanger kommune. This gift was handed over by the mayor of the Sør-Varanger kommune, Tone Hatle.
