The new leader of the 1.000 km race is called Roger Dahl. The experienced musher from Alta chose another tactic as his closest competitors. He surprises with a very brief break in the Neiden-checkpoint and rushes away.
Roger Dahl drove extemely fast. On the distance Skippagurra - Neiden he needed one hour less than the speediest team so far. He made just a brief stop at the checkpoint in Neiden to feed his dogs with fodder before he hastened on.
There are good weather- and driving-circumstances reported from Sør-Varanger. The temperatures stabilise around 15 degrees below zero, it is starlit and almost calm.
Roger Dahl drives on with only twelve dogs.
