According to Olav Bellika, director of the Mattilsynet in Finnmark, it is still possible that some of the international drivers will be stopped. We are uncertain about the date Emil Inauen came to Norway. We want to clarify that as soon as he arrives in the checkpoint in Karasjok. Both of the Italian mushers now got the permission to continue the race until nine o' clock tomorrow morning. They promised us a cartifiate from a Swedish vet within this time-limit" says Olav Bellinka.

Now it is absoltely clear that the Spanish driver Javier Marina is allowed to continue the race. He has submitted satisfactory documents. Now it comes to the German Silvia Furtwängler. She has a time-limit to give her dogs the second worm treatment until the 10th of March. Under normal circumstances she should achieve the finishing line until Wednesday. Then she can give her dogs the second treatment.

"I regret the situation the international mushers came in a lot but the Mattilsynet has to do its job. It is about the infection risk and the health of the people and we cannot joke with that" said Bellika.
