- I will be taking my 16 hour mandatory rest now and start with a fantastic team afterwards, explains a self confident Roger Dahl at Skippagurra. -With a rested team I will be able to go all the way to Kirkenes if I feel like it, he adds. Roger was the fastest of the 4 leading teams during this last stage and at the checkpoint he and his display a spirit of activeness and extensive power.

The first to get to the checkpoint however was Harald Tunheim at 20:59, trailed by Petter Jahnsen who arrived at 21:29. Third man Roger Dahl came in at 21:40. The lead of Harald Tunheim had at times only been about 10 minutes on this stretch.

Jahnsens believes hi time is partially influenced by the fact that he had to take one dog out of his team. But overall he is still ahead of his own personal timetable and he had the chance to rest more than he had expected. He adds that the cometition goes just as he expected. All of them are satisfied, they did not push their dogs and they feel that the race went well. Tunheim had already taken out a dog at the last checkpoint and considers taking his 16 hour rest now.

- It all depends on my dogs and how they react after they had their food.

Jahnsen on the other hand will ot talk about his plans and tactics.
