FL-1000 is not done, but the prize ceremony for those who have finished took place in Alta city Saturday at 12:00. So far 18 teams have crossed the finish line, while 13 teams were still out on the trail. They will get their prize at the banquet or when they cross the finish line.

There were two prize ceremonies. First one for the Norwegian Championship in long distance sled dog racing, with Marit Beate Kasin as number one, Arnt Ola Skjeve number two and Ronny Frydenlund number three.

After this, there were prizes for all that had crossed the finish line in FL-1000 so far. The three on the podium were given the opportunity to say a few words and Petter Karlsson thanked not only his handlers and sponsor (!), but also directed a thanks to one of his toughest competitors:

– I want to thank one of my big idols in mushing, Arnt Ola Skjerve. Thanks for being so big mouthed and this way motivating me to work so hard and for so long in order to make this, he said smilingly.
