Weather report: Wind coming up

Rough weather is not new to participants in the Finnmark Race, and it has almost become a tradition for the wind to pick up on the start day. This evening, Meteorological Institute reports of southern breeze and possibly some snow in between. 

Sunday, the meteorologists predict fresh gale and dry weather. Strong wind will meet the teams on the plateau, and will also require drivers and handlers on their way to the next check-point to consider which route to take. At the present time, no mountain crossings are closed, but the strong wind may make the journey across the mountain longer than planned.
