Having finished taking care of the dogs, veteran Kjell Brennodden made time for a quick chat with our reporter in Karasjok. How was the leg from Levajok to Karasjok?

- Things have been going smoothly, but the dogs are probably feeling yesterday, says Brennodden. He explains that things were going slow, but that the conditions up the river were better than he had feared.

- But when the winds came head on, it was a reminder, he explains. On this leg, Brennodden has lost 26 minutes compared to Sigrid Ekran.

Now there will be a rest of minimum three hours – three hours and two minutes to be exact – before he and the dogs again can move out on the tracks toward Jotka and the finish line in Alta. At 04:35 he has completed the mandatory rest.
