On Tuesday evening the FL-500 and the FL-500 RNB contestants received their awards and prizes.

Not only did the medal winners receive their medals, there were also other prizes to be handed out. Money checks, dog food, flowers, ATVs (for the winners), a sled, dog food, hotel nights and dinners, glass art, and knives. All the mushers also got a diploma with a picture of themselves with their dog teams, with pictures taken during this particular race.

The Red Lantern prize will be awarded to the last finishing contestant in each class, and there are still teams on the trail.
The prizes for Best Handler of the Year and Best Dog Care will be awarded at the FL-1000 Race Banquet at Scandig Hotel Alta on Saturday night.
