According to partner Karsen Grønås, Eveline was very happy when she arrived at cp Karasjok at 06:35 this morning. She'd said she thought it went almost too fast and had to slow down the dogs. She has chosen to rest well before starting out with 8 dogs at 10:27.

The distance up to Levajok is 85 km and the whole leg runs on the Tana River. Just like many other mushers, Koch is cautious about this stretch. Physically, it is a light leg of the race, as it is flat and usually has a good trail. However, it can be mentally challenging for both dogs and musher as it is very monotonous.

Koch nevertheless confirmed to the race press that she runs to win this class.

There will nevertheless be tough competition, and nothing is decided yet.
