Information for participants

We open the entry on 15^th September 2014 18:00 o’clock.
The Finnmarkslopet 2015 - World Cup Long Distance race, is probably the most special in the race's 35-year history. It is possible that the entry will therefore be over subscribed, and we have set a ceiling on the number of participants.

First, we must point out a correction. When regulatory changes for FL-2015 were announced on Monday 8th September, we quickly discovered an oversight in the qualification system. Some mushers discovered they were eligible for FL-1000, but not FL-500. This is incorrect. When the regulations are updated (by 15th September), they will be amended to read ‘anyone who is qualified to enter the FL-1000, will also be eligible to enter the FL-500’.

We are encouraging everyone to sign up, as quickly as possible when registration starts. Here are some helpful tips to ensure an accepted entry:

• The link for entries of all classes will be visible at 6:00 p.m. (CEST) on Monday 15th September 2014. You may wish to have access to a computer at this time.

• The signup entry page for the FL-2015 will be updated before 10:00 am CEST Monday September 15th. Please familiarize yourself with this information before you start, to speed up your entry. The main news for the FL-2015 can be read here.

• If you are a rookie, you may have to upload a profile picture. Make sure you have one on your computer. If you have run the race before, you can choose to ask us to use your previous image. No one will be posted on “Entrants 2015” website before we have a useable picture.

• If there are more entries than the maximum limit for the number of participants in each class, we will create a waiting list. You will be notified of a successful entry. Please be aware that it may take a few days to process. If you end up on a waiting list, you can choose to remain on the list or be removed with a full refund.

• Once you have entered using our online system, you will receive an automated email receipt. The date and time of this receipt is used to create the waiting list. The earlier you enter, the higher up you will be on the waiting list.

• Remember that we do not confirm your entry online until we have received your registration fee and picture.
