Alta trekkhundklubb and Finnmarksløpet will be hosting the World Championship for long-distance dogsledding in 2015, in both open, limited as well as the junior class.
Knut Arne Holthe, President of the Norwegian musher Association (NHF), confirmes that the contract between IFSS (The International Federation of Sleddog Sports) and NHF was signed at the AGM in Brussel May 31th 2014.
IFSS President, Helen Lundberg, expressed high expectations for the event, and the General Assembly supported the choice of the organizer and arranger country with ovation.
Both Alta Trekkhundklubb and Finnmarksløpet AS are excited and are looking forward to welcome both competitors, volunteers, media, partners to attend Finnmarksløpet 2015.
