FL-500: Moving completion of the race

Aila Emilie Sarre (23) was to mush the FL-1000 race for the 3rd time th is year. However, a resilient flu made her transfer to the FL-500 race a week prior to race start. She eventually realised that that was impossible too, and had a chat with her father, Krister Höök. Together they agreed that he should take her place in the race. Aila was, of course, his handler along the trail.

Just before half past one last nigiht he completed his second Finnmarksløpet race. On the finishing line he was received by a visibly moved and grateful Aila. Next year she hopes to be on the sled again, having her father as handler throughout the race.
