As Ronny Wingren arrived in Alta as winner of the FL-500 race he had spent just over 50 hours on trail. Without a shower, without brushing his teeth (we guess) and without much sleep. The race partner Rica Hotel Alta invited him and his handler Thor-Leif Holm to a splendid victory meal, together with mayor Laila Davidsen, Jan-Arne Pettersen from SpareBank1 Nord-Norge (sponsor) and Svanhild Pedersen from the race management.

After the meal he could walk effortlessly and without a worry to the elevator that took him to the Finnmarksløpet Suite of the hotel, a suite always reserved for the FL-500 winner.
