Harald Tunheim, a local musher living in Alta, has completed Finnmarkslopet 18 times and won 5 times. When Finnmarkslopet's team meets him in the starting arena, he is impatient to get started with this years race, although stormy weather is expected ahead. It has been forecasted heavy winds for the day ahead, and knowing the local weather better than many, Tunheim encourages all mushers to take good care of themselves and their dogs.
