No mushing at the Alta river

Race Marshall, Rita Hallvig, ask every musher who‘s participating in Finnmarksløpet, not to train at the Alta river

Trail brakers are going to be at the river wiith big vehicles up to the race starts. They are going to improve some slippery parts in the trail. It will be a struggle to meet this machines, they can‘t easily turn around in some areas. We also want the trail to be as good as possible for the start. Teams going out with dogsleds may damage the trail.

If you want to take your team out. We recomand mushing from Garga or the Jotka lake.
