Changes for FL-2014

The sports committee of Alta Trekkhundklubb has already had several meetings after this year’s race. Some changes have already been decided, and some more will come.

Usually the registration has started on the 15th August. The new date this year is the 15^th September. The reason for that is that the Sports committee need some more time to settle all changes before the registration starts.

The first draw of start numbers will be on the 1st October, the second one on 1^st December. The final for date for signing up for Finnmarksløpet 2014 is December 31^st 2013.

The main change for 2014 is that FL-500 will go the opposite way.  The start of both FL-1000 and FL-500 will be as usual, and everybody goes to Jotka 1, then FL-500 will continue to Jergul- Karasjok – Levajok – Skoganvarre – Jotka 2 – and end up at the final line in Alta. 

Please note that the registration fee will be raised from NOK 1000 to NOK 2000. The registration fee is a part of the total entrance fee, and must be paid before your registration is approved. The registration fee will not be refunded if your registration is cancelled. 

The start date for 2014 is Saturday 8^th March.
