“Hello everyone!
This is Nina. I am very disappointed with the results in this year’s Finnmarksløpet. To terminate a race you have put so much into feels pointless and hard. But with only 7 dogs pulling the sled (2 males and 6 small females) I felt it would not be a good idea to continue. I have had an extremely hard leg from Kirkenes to Neiden 2, the longest leg in the race, with 125 km of monstrous climbs in the mountain (towards Russia) and over the Rajapaa-mountain along the Finnish border. Sofie got tired, and I let her rest in the sleigh. I terminated with 7 bright, happy dogs in front of the sled. That means a lot to me. More information to come.
