After making a turn up on the mountain west of Tana, Inger-Marie Haaland has now made her way down to the road and has arrived in Sirbma. She got into the checkpoint at 15.23. Last year she came into Sirbma at 15.11, so this indicates that she is keeping up with last year’s schedule. However, it means that the speed of this year’s leg was lower than last year.

At Sirbma Inger-Marie tells us she has had an amazing day. – The weather has been great, and the sunrise this morning was incredible, she says.

-The dogs have been good. They got a bit tired towards the end of the leg, but they are just lovely and work hard.

She has been alone in the lead all day, and says she has not seen any of the teams following in pursuit. She would like to keep the lead, but is more secretive about her plans for the rest of the race, and will not say anything about how long she is planning to rest in Sirbma before continuing towards Levajok.
