FL-1000: Close race between Lyrek and Haaland

Behind Hugh Neff the competitors are neck and neck. Following him in to Neiden 2 was two of the favorites, Trine Lyrek and Inger-Marie Haaland. Last year’s number four and number one came in to Neiden almost simultaneously, about an hour after Heff.

Both have held a higher pace than the American in the lead. But in spite of the 16,5 hours of rest Trine Lyrek’s dogs had in Kirkenes compared to Inger-Marie Haaland’s  five, Haaland has had much higher speed. In the 125 kilometers from Kirkenes, she has gained almost an hour.
