Our team in the trail has passed all the mushers who have left Kirkenes towards Neiden 2. It looks like the dogs are keeping a fast pace in good conditions; with a slight snowfall and good track.

Trine Lyrek is in the lead among the mushers in pursuit of Hugh Neff, but the distance up to leading man is still big. Slightly further back Inger Marie Haaland has passed Robert Sørlie and they are following each other closely in the trail.

Even though the conditions are looking good, they can be challenging for those riding snow mobiles. NRK TV’s team is reported to be stuck in the snow.
