Swedish Katy Meier is a veteran in Finnmarksløpet and won FL-500 in 2012. Today she finished in third place after a neck and neck thriller to the finish with Norwegian Eline Lihagen. Together with her three year old leaders Jaja, Franck, Didi, Sean and Tcmill she has kept an impressive speed throughout the race. We were especially impressed with the sprint up the Tana River towards Karasjok. She has been in the top six most of the race.

She says that she takes part in Finnmarksløpet because it is “the most beautiful competition in the world”. She is registered as a contender all the way back to 2003. Finnmarkslopet.no congratulates her with the bronze medal, CONGRATS KATY!
