Robert Sørlie was the first team tonight on its way to Levajok, after he drove through without rest at Skoganvarre. Also today the fire fighter from Hurdal is in front in FL-1000. After five hours rest in Levajok, he left with fourteen dogs just before 08.30 Sunday.

Before Sørlie is 117 kilometres until the next checkpoint in Tana. This is one of the longest and toughest legs in the race, with many hours in high mountains, before descending to Tana. Sørlie is not sure if it is a good thing to be in front.

-It is probably better to be behind and follow in others trail. It’s always like that, he said, it did not seem to bother him though.

Now it remains to be seen if any of the other mushers are looking at Robert Sørlie and try to catch up by resting less in Levajok, or if they stay calm and stick to their plan.
