Elisabeth Edland was the first to arrive in Jotka, and inaugurated the race’s first check point. After being applauded at gågata in Alta center, Edland used two hours and 42 minutes in distance towards Jotka. Thus she sled one quarter hour faster than last year’s leader of the leg, Stein Are Harder with 2.57 in those 53 Kilometers.

The winner of this year’s Femundløps F400-distance has been followed by Camilla Høgberg Kristoffersen from Stange, who arrived to the lodge 13 minutes after Edland. Elisabeth Edland won the FL-500 in 2011 and has a good opening to show at this year’s race. The Finnmarksløpet’s first check point is hereby, incorporating and marking its start in this journey over the Finnmark’s plateau.

Elisabeth Edland has done a great tempo towards the check point in Jotka, and arrived first at the lodge – with a great margin of the following racer.
