Now the exciting competition has begun for the spots behind the so far convincing leader Bjørnar Andersen. Trond Ørslien left the checkpoint at Levajok at 22:43 and in his footsteps followed Frode Holten who finally convinced his team. Holten had to leave another dog behind however and is only using 6 dogs now, just like Andersen. Ørslien on the other hand is mushing with 9 dogs in his team, the most that any of the leading mushers has left. This could end up being very important as the mushers can only finish the race in the open class, if they have at least six dogs left in their team. So this could an aspect to make Andersen stumble. Additionally Ørslien has changed sled in the last checkpoint.
