Bernhard Schucher (54) from Germany is the first foreigner who has finished 10 Finnmarksløp.

Bernhard is an experienced musher; he has driven Femundløpet and Iditarod. His best finish in Finnmarksløpet was in 2011 when he came in as #7. Bernhard has 29 dogs in his kennel and he has worked systematically for years in order to perform at this level.

In his presentation of himself before the race, he said: -Finnmarksløpet is the best race in Europe and I just have to finish my tenth race.

Now he has done it!

This year he came in as #14 and this is what he says about it: -In this race I have had it all. Two snowstorms, clear ice on the river to Alta and I’m very satisfied with my race and that I've made it for the tenth time. I’ve started 11 times, and I'll be back. Maybe not next year, but you'll see me again.

Finnmarksløpet congratulates him with a fantastic achievement!
