Tre spann på under ti minutter til Karasjok. De var alt annet enn uberørte etter den slitsomme etappen.

Shortly after eight o'clock three teams arrived within ten minutes, and some had climbed on the result lists. Magne Storstein smiled when he commented on how the leg had been. - Shite, he smiled and arrived in fifth place after passing Nina Skramstad. His mood was even better when he got to know about the four extra hours of rest.

Ronny Frydenlund arrived right behind him. Ronny has not only entered the top ten list, but is now sixth after planning his race very well, giving his dogs lots of rest in the beginning. He comments that the conditions on the river have been tough, but that he has been having a great time all week. When he got to know about the change in rest-time he showed that he had the energy to crack a joke: - Really? I could have continued directly form here, says Frydenlund who has mushed in 8 hours and 34 minutes, the best time of all who have arrived Karasjok.

The person in seventh place was not very pleased with the leg to Karasjok. Nina Skramstad thought the leg from Sirbma to Levajok was brutal. It was a very nice nature experience; a beautiful sunrise and a rare meeting with a wolverine. However, her main focus upon arrival at the checkpoint was her lead dog Delta. Nina is worried about having to go to Alta without her. Maybe the extra rest can help her with this worry. Skramstad was in a good mood and wanted to share her experiences from the leg.
