FL-1000: Is it true...?!

A very tired Trine K. Lyrek looks like a big question mark. She is the first musher in the 1000 km race to get notified about the new rest-time in Karasjok.

When she realizes that her little team of only 7 dogs and herself are going to rest for 12 hours, she brightens up! She planned to rest at least 10 hours in Karasjok anyway. This would have put her far behind the competitors.

Lyrek has been on the trail more than 18 hours from Sirbma. She mushed straight through Levajok, and afterwards she sees that it was a bit too ambitious. She has been kicking behind the sleig the whole way to help the dogs pull. It was extremely tough on the Tana river. Lyrek had to run with the dogs to keep them moving.

However, now everything is great! She has chocolate, lots to drink and her boyfriend and kids visiting her in Karasjok. All this in addition to 4 extra hours of rest. - It is the smartest thing I have heard in a long time, says Lyrek, before she starts making food to her brave dogs.
