Finnmarksløpet informs that Bjørn Hugo Kristoffersen’s dog passed away. The dog passed away on the leg between Kirkenes and Neiden 2.
Chief Veterinarian Hanna Fredriksen confirms the sad story and has been working on the case since it was reported this morning, Wednesday 14th March. – All his dogs have been thoroughly checked by the veterinarians in Kirkenes and nothing abnormal was observed with his dogs. The dog is now on its way to the Norwegian Veterinarian Institute in Tromsø for autopsy. Kristoffersen has scratched due to his loss. The musher has done everything correctly in this situation, says Chief Veterinarian Hanna Fredriksen.
