For once Inger Marie Haaland hesitates when I ask how she is doing. Her answer was diplomatic – she is very happy to be in Neiden 2. Haaland rested five hours in Kirkenes before she left at 10.21pm, and now she has used 10 hours and 28 minutes on the leg to Neiden.
Haaland has had good conditions for most of the leg. – It was very nice until it started to snow, she says. But when it started to snow this morning it got worse.
Handler Ralph Johannessen waited behind the fence with a smirk, and were pleased with his musher.
