Checkpoint under water!

Just four days ago there were dogs laying around and rested. Today the checkpoint at Kirkestua in Levajok is under water. 10 cm of surface water and slush make it impossible for the dogs to lie down on the ice. But the authorities at the checkpoint are sure that it will be reasonably fine for the dogs to rest on land. As long as not too many teams come in at the same time there will be enough room for the dogs to rest. So far no mushers have come into the checkpoint and it will probably take some time before they arrive.
