Last years winner Rune Johansen quits the race

Just now we received the message that Rune Johansen from Alta has decided to drop out of the race at the checkpoint in Polmak. We could not get in touch with him personally this morning but it is known that he had had trouble to keep his team going throughout large parts of the race and that he fell behind in the last stages. With Johansen one of the biggest favourites is now out of the race. He had won the race the last two consecutive years.
