The current leader Harald Tunheim has reports that the trail make him feel like a rollercoaster on the sledge. It does not cause any dangerous situations, only challenging conditions compared to rhythm and flow in the race.
Inger Marie Haaland raced the whole leg without brakes. She ruin the brake when she meet a rock immediately after the departure Levajok. The rest of the leg she only had the belt from the snowmobile. That is a great achievement. Handler and partner Ralph Johannesen is ready on the checkpoint Tana with a new brake and tools. Haaland have to start fixing the sledge as soon as she has done the care of the dogs.
