Difficult conditions for the supporting scooters

The supporting scooters following the mushers encountered difficult conditions on the way from Polmak to Levajok. They needed 8 hours for a tripå that should not take more than 4 under normal circumstances. The trail was moved up to the mountain to avoid the river and the surface water. The trail is now the same as the one they followed to Kirkenes. In the upper regions there is little snow and all the markers had been blown away and had to be newly set up. They got stuck because they lost the trail. - That will be a strenuous trip for the mushers as well, concluded the scooter driver Dahl before he lay down to rest. The first mushers are expected on this trail within the morning hours.
