Both Elisabeth Edland (53) and Ole Sigleif Johansen (30) speak warmly about the Swedish Katy Meier (41). They believe she knows what she is doing, has experience and knows her dogs well. Both believe she can keep it up all the way.
Katy Meier focuses only on herself and the dogs. She does not care about how the others are running. All her dogs ate and drank at Levajok.

The Finish musher Ole Wingren had a rest at Jotka in order to cool down a young dog that pushed too hard. He also got his own stress level down. He does not know what effect this will have on his race. He is focused on that there might be poor trail conditions on the Tana River, and that it still is far to go.
Everyone up front has left without any problems.
