We meet him at Levajok when he is on his way out after his rest. Hauling depot bags and equipment he is barely moving.
He has a muscle injury in his leg and moves with pain. To move with so much gear out in somewhat deep snow is not easy. We ask if he is planning to start out like this.
-I don’t know. First I have to look after the dogs and see if I can manage that. This is our passion, sled dog competitions are what we work towards all year. This is what we want. I don’t want to scratch now. You can see the pain in his eyes as slowly, but surely limps towards his team.
His passion for Finnmarksløpet has no limit.
