The village organisation of the little village Holmesund just about 10 km south of the Tana bridge was so pleased with the course of the Finnmarkslopet leading through there that they raised a reward for the first driver to pass through.
Since it was Bjørnar Andersen who came first into Holmesund right before midnight, he was met by numerous people from the village organisation who surprised him with a price cheque of 3000 Norwegian Kroner.
