FL-1000 Record Number of Entrants

There are three more weeks to the start and still it looks like the record of entrants from 2012 is falling. We may get as many as 50 mushers in the longest race.

There are several reasons for us to say there will be a new record.
The deadline for the entrant fee was 15th February. At the moment more than 50 have paid. After Femundløpet normally some withdraws from the race due to injuries and lowered ambitions. On the contrary this year three mushers have decided to move up from FL-500 to FL-1000.

When it comes to FL-500 is the number of accepted registrations about 60. Last year there were 73 teams starting in this class, to beat the record might be hard this year, still it is an impressive number of teams making themselves ready to start out also in FL-500.
