Miquel-Angel Martinez (59) fra Catalonia kjørte inn til 10. plass kl 15.38. Martinez har kjørt Finnmarksløpet flere ganger tidligere, men dette er den beste plasseringen han har oppnådd så langt.

Martinez has trained mainly on roads, but still seems to handle the snow very well. The man from southern Europe has raced FL-1000 many times and has a 15th place as his best result until now.
Mainly roads
He and his dogs do not train very often on snow, but mainly uses roads and a ATV or wagon. Earlier in the race his wife said that they are happy it has not been too cold this year. However, with the strong winds they experienced during the last part of the race we believe that the weather has been challenging enough.
Setting goals
Miquel-Angel Martinez' goal was to end up among top 15 and he ended up number 10. Finnmarksløpet hopes that the happy man from Catalunya returns next year.
