-While we were driving in our usual manner, the dog falls over. I go up front and find the dog hyperventilating a bit. So we sit there for some time and the dog gets up and we are ready to go again. After 10 minutes he falls over again. I go up to put him in the sled. The moment I lift him up he dies. This is all I know and the dog has been sent to autopsy. It is very sad, but we are in the middle of a competition and have to stay focused. A team mate has passed away so it is not all that easy, says Roger Dahl. He takes out some rest in Sirma before he heads for Levajok.
Veterinary, race judge and Race Marshal have decided that Dahl may continue the race.
