Roger Dahl stakk ut i fortsatt ledelse etter 4,5 timers hvile i Neiden 2. I samme øyeblikk kjørte Sigrid Ekran inn til samme sjekkpunkt.

Roger Dahl had to leave two dogs at the check point, and continues towards Varangerbotn with nine dogs in his team. Ekran has mushed from Kirkenes with only eight dogs, but in good speed. She has the third fastest race time to Neiden 2, only 11 minutes slower than Dahl. But faster than both Gorm Engen and Ralph Johannesen.
