Finnmarkslopet.no is finding it difficult to get hold of the handler on the phone. How far behind the followers are is also unsure, as the GPS-tracking in this area is unreliable. Trail Manager Egil Isaksen reports that the trail is tough, there is a lot of wind and driffted snow on the track. The conditions are the same for the mushers chasing Roger. This situation can also mean that Roger is breaking trail for his competitors, who then have the possibility to take the overhand.
