At 3:00 this night an extremely exhausted Daniel Juillaguet, France, arrived at the finish line in Alta. It took him more than 12 hours to fulfil the last stage of the race from Jotka to Alta, a distance that normally should only take around 4 hours.
-I had to walk in front of my team the last part. The ice on the river had no layer of snow anymore and it was extremely slippery because of the melting, making this otherwise easy stage suddenly difficult.
- I am really tired but very happy between some blasts of wind that blew very strongly through the camping ground at Alta Strand last night.
