Parkering: In Norwegian this word is used in mushing when a situation arises where the dogs take command of the team and decide that it's no longer fun to run and they stop dead and refuse to advance. There may be other things that they consider more interesting, such as good food smells, a know place (for example if you have to mush past your own house), the need for more rest or overpowering romantik inclinations when lots of bitches are in heat.
