The three front runners are Marianne Skjøthaug, Elisabeth Edland and Ole Sigleif Johansen; all three are on their way to Jotka, the last checkpoint before the finish in Alta. They started out together after some starting problems for Johansen and Edland. We assume that many are following the GPS-tracking. This shows the position of the mushers provided there is coverage. We remind you that this area between Jergul and Jotka has poor coverage. This may lead to misleading information if you don’t check the time for when it was last updated.
From Jotka and in, the system works very well. Last year winner, Ole Wingren used 8h and 31min from Jergul to Alta. We estimate the time will be about the same this year. That would indicate a finish at 3pm, BUT, much could happen; we will keep you posted.
