The German musher Bernd Helmich arrived in Karasjok checkpoint at 3pm and the run from Levajok has been a breeze.
"It has been a real pleasure to drive this stage in the great weather" says Bernd, with a steady Norwegian pronunciation. "Nevertheless, the final section was somewhat slow because of the trail conditions, but with the dogs in good shape it has gone well."
I shall continue with the same speed out from the checkpoint and we will see where it leads us" smiles Helmich.
