Bjørnar Andersen has arrived in the checkpoint at Neiden at 3:30 on Wednesday morning after a 7 hour and 21 minutes trip. Last year the winner Rune Johansen needed 7 hours and 3 minutes for the same stage. The 70 km from Kirkenes are the first step on the way home. Frode Holten, who was expexcted to come into Neiden for a long time has not been sighted.

Andersen said that the weather out there is fine, the temperature around 0 degrees and that the trail is nice and hard. This were perfect conditions for him and his light dogs.

Bjørnar has 9 dogs left in his team. They are obviously in good shape and therefore it is no problem that he had to leave already 5 behind.
