FL-500: Surprised Skoganvarre

Før faklene på isen var tent, svingte Ole Sigleif Johansen inn på Skoganvarre. Han er strålende fornøyd: - Flotte spor, forteller han. Ronny Wingren (bildet) er en av dem som ligger hakk i hæl.

It is busy at Skoganvarre for the first mushers who arrive. Ole Sigleif Johansen surprised everyone at Skoganvarre and arrived before everything was ready. - It is going really well, he said. The only problem is that he has a male dog that is more interested in female dogs in heat than in food. He bragged about the tracks and felt it had gone fast.

A short half hour after him a small group of teams arrived and one of them had the time to speak to the press. A happy and smiling Marianne Skjøthaug, who only spent one more minute on the leg, was very pleased so far. Ronny Wingren from Finland was to busy to talk, and Bernd Helmich (Germany) hardly spoke to the check point staff.
