FL-500: Hectic at Jotka

På et tidspunkt kunne det se ut som favorittene i FL- 500 hadde lagt opp til en ny strategi.

From the result lists it seemed like for instance World Champion Marianne Skjøthaug (43) from Langfjordbotn outside of Alta and Ronny Wingren (36) from Finland had decided to rest for a long time at Jotka. If correct that would have been a very new strategy by those who are among the favourites to win. However, it was not correct. They had passed the checkpoint without stopping.

The reason for the mistake is that so many teams pass Jotka at the same time and the staff at the check point are not able to call in all times quicly enough. Finnmarksløpet asks readers for understanding. The staff at Jotka does a tremendous job and has been running around ever since the mushers started to arrive the check point.
