Many competitors are curious about the tracks and conditions. Read on for more information.

Common for the whole Finnmark county is the amount of snow. Disregarding the highest mountain tops where the wind blows the peaks bare, there is a lot of snow all along the trail. So far we have not had any mild weather after Jan 1st.

The crew who prepares the tracks are already working and they report good conditions, even though they struggle with a lot of snow in some parts. They mention the part of the trail called Gaisene especially, the high area between Skoganvarre and Levajok. We are happy to announce that the Norwegian Army has offered to prepare the base of the trail with an army wagon (see photo). This was done also in 2010 and much appreciated.

We will post more news about the tracks when we hear from the trailmaster Magne Johansen.
